SprutCAM is a new generation system, that works directly with the geometric objects of the parent model (including NURBS) without preliminary approximation or triangulation. This allows economical use of the computers resources, and secondly, allows the calculation of the resulting toolpath to any required accuracy.
Major changes in SprutCAM 4.0 were made in following sections: the user interface of the system, the visualization and modeling tools, the subsystems of the parametric drawing and the process of developing CNC programs for milling machines.
The most important changes are in the interface of the system - we feel SprutCAM 4.0 has the best interface of all the CAM systems on the market. SprutCAM 4.0 is a new generation of the system and is distinguished from previous versions by an up-dated interface and increased functionality. Very strong emphasis was put into the ergonomic characteristics that will greatly increase efficiency. Among the new innovations are the animated view functions and the new multi-window capability, which allows very effective use of the available workspace. Also included are a wide range of screen manipulation tools for viewing geometric elements and there have been many other updated features in the area of developing the NC programs, ready for the NC machine. These improvements have been made to further improve the capabilities of the system, and also it"s ease of use.
As well as general improvements in the visualization abilities of the system, new tools have been added for working with the model and its component elements. In the 2D parametric geometry system, the changes are mainly directed at improving the efficiency and flexibility; also implementing requests of end-users. Part of the development process included adding new machining strategies, which were identified by specialists who work with the SprutCAM and NCTuner systems.
SprutCAM is a highly intelligent system. To obtain a ready to run NC program, it is necessary only to load the model, choose the type of machining and press the "Run" button. Quick mastering of the system, a vast amount of automatically executed functions, default parameters for an operation based on the analysis of the model, optimized machining of a detail which is made possible due to the powerful core, which has the accumulated knowledge, experience and intellect of mathematicians, programmers and CNC experts.
